What is Panellus? Research Documentation and Applied Insights

Panellus Ventures

Panellus, named after the panellus stipitus fungi, is a starting block for my own company and business ventures. Using knowledge and experience in psychology, investing, macroeconomics, history, cryptocurrency, blockchains and behavioural economics, Panellus Labs presents as a consultancy using applied behavioural science to improve businesses, enact change, and nudge consumer behaviour, and strategy company with many planned ventures for the future.

This blog, culminates of “The Hot Spot”, with posts on beehiiv, Substack, LinkedIn, and Twitter (X). This acts as a collection of my Masters’ research in psychology, specifically focusing on behavioural economics and its application, where I plan to complete a PhD in the future on the topic of “social agreeableness and engineering” scores to rate consumers in different cultures and countries to permeability of advertising and social engineering strategies. It focuses on the idea that propaganda, news, and advertising seeps through to consumers and leads to an agreeableness that could be scored for each culture and then each individual in that culture.

An example may be that individuals with an external locus of control have a higher social engineering permeability score than someone with an internal locus of control. There are many factors to consider but this is an idea I have always wanted to research and explore.

More About Panellus Labs:

Like Fungi, We believe in the power of networks.

Utilising networks of knowledge not traditionally used or applied to real-world issues, Panellus aims to mimic the mycelium networks of fungi by branching out to other subjects and using what works to stand out and create innovative solutions.

By looking at other subjects and solutions found in the lab through academic research, we create foundational networks of knowledge to draw on to solve issues in innovative and “different” ways.

If you read along and find anything I say interesting or useful, feel free to share this blog or contact me to discuss something, whether you agree or not!
